Stripping

Stripping is a procedure where a thin layer of the approximal tooth enamel (the interdental area) is taken to create a space for the correct alignment of compacted teeth. The method is also used to correct irregular teeth. For this purpose, strips with fine diamond abrasive or polishing borers and discs are used for reducing the needed enamel layer.
